The PTE writing module assesses a candidate’s command of English vocabulary, grammar, understandability and spellings. The PTE writing module is made up of two questions:

  • Work on the clarity of the sentence. Use conjunctions like and, although, however, moreover, etc to join complex sentences but make sure not to overuse them. 
  • Learn, practice and build a strong vocabulary. The summary should not contain any inappropriate, meaningless or multiple-meaning words. It can affect your score adversely. 
  • Keep it simple. Don’t try to incorporate everything that is in the passage. Concentrate on the most important ones. Leave out the lesser ones. 
  • Each summary question is allotted 10 minutes. You have to read, understand, plan, write and revise the summary within this time. Try to finish the summary within 5-6 minutes. So, you will have enough time to revise and edit before submitting.
