The Reading module of PTE Academic is the third part of the test which assesses the test takers' ability to read and understand English texts in academic contexts. The PTE Reading test module consists of five item types and the test takers have to select, drag and drop, or type their responses using a mouse and a keyboard. There is a collective timer for all questions, so time management is extremely important. The responses are scored by an automated system based on various criteria such as comprehension, analysis, and vocabulary. PTE Reading practice is an important aspect of PTE preparation.
